A Wife, A Mother, A Business Owner, and A Self Published Author, Mary Kathryn Johnson is the Founding President of MommyLoves, the premier online novelty maternity and family apparel company, and Co-Founder of Help Me Self Publish, Your Story, On Your Terms - Professional services, tools, advice, and encouragement to help Writers confidently become Self Published Authors. She holds a B.S. degree in Nutrition and Food Science from U.C. Berkeley, and has headed Nutrition Education programs for Elementary School Children as well as Adults seeking weight loss. Mary has also created and managed job placement and employment programs for both large, International Staffing Firms and Boutique Technical Staffing Firms, and has helped thousands of people secure good paying jobs through comprehensive interview and screening techniques. Experiences as diverse as Cello playing Wrangler and Volunteer Ambulance Driver in a small Sonoma County, California coastal town during college and her current gig of Cello playing Entrepreneurial Mom have given Mary a very unique perspective on life.
Mary learned that she really was a Multitasking Diva when she delivered her second son while she had casts on both legs up to the knee - the result of a fall out a neighbor's front door while eight months pregnant (the baby was fine, by the way) landing her with two broken legs. She also had a three year old son to care for at the time, and could only get around with the help of a walker. Mary learned a great deal during that journey, the most important lessons being that she had a wonderful husband that she could lean on (both literally and figuratively) and who cleaned her bedside commode, and that if she could survive this with her sense of humor in tact...she could do ANYTHING. The resulting publication entitled, Say Bump and Take a Left, How I Birthed a Baby and a Business After a Huge Bump in the Road, can be found in Amazon and iBooks.
The next adventure in Mary's life involves helping other aspiring Writers become Self Published Authors through Help Me Self Publish.
